A Taste of Albania: Traditional Byrek Cooking Experience

We invite you to a one-of-a-kind culinary journey where you’ll uncover the secrets of preparing one of Albania’s most beloved dishes—traditional byrek. This is more than just a cooking class; it’s an immersive experience filled with flavors, emotions, and the warmth of authentic Albanian hospitality.

Your experience begins with the fundamentals—under the guidance of a welcoming local hostess, you’ll learn how to knead the perfect dough, roll it out into delicate, paper-thin layers, and fill it with a rich, aromatic filling. As you cook, you’ll hear fascinating stories about byrek’s deep-rooted significance in Albanian homes, passed down through generations. Step by step, you’ll experience the joy of crafting this traditional dish by hand, gaining both skill and appreciation for its cultural heritage.

Once your byrek is ready, you’ll sit down for a memorable lunch on an open terrace, overlooking the breathtaking Lunxheria Valley. Here, you’ll savor the fruits of your labor alongside a spread of other homemade specialties, all crafted from fresh ingredients straight from the family’s garden. To complete this experience, you’ll enjoy local wine, rakija, and a traditional dessert, making for a truly authentic taste of Albania.

Let the magic of cooking transport you into the heart of Albanian tradition, where every bite tells a story and every moment is shared with warmth and joy.
